Michael Katsibas trained at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA and at the Architectural Association in London.
Michael moved to California in 2018 to follow his interest in modern Californian architecture and the increasing relevance of densification in the Los Angeles residential housing market. Michael has established a successful practice in LA, winning a number of challenging projects, both commercial and residential.
Prior to moving to California, Michael worked in London at Pringle Richards Sharratt Architects, where he was an Associate. He worked on a number of significant projects including the Black Cultural Archives, the University of Essex, TfL Palestra Building, Ealing Studios, and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
In 2011 Michael joined Ben Adams Architects, first as an Associate and then as a Director, leading a number of projects including Nobu’s first hotel, a housing scheme in Abingdon, the refurbishment of the listed Express Building in Manchester, the mixed use Graphite Square in Vauxhall, the co working spaces at Albert House, Orion House and Scott House, the headquarters for the British Film Institute, the office redevelopments at 200 Hammersmith Rd, Churchill House, and the Fjord Building.
Michael is a licensed architect in the United States and the United Kingdom, with licenses to practice in both California and Florida. He is a member of the the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects.
